It has been some time since I've written and for that my apologies. There have been quite a few things going on I would like to share.
Twitter has recently come out with a new social platform called Periscope. I'm sure you have heard of it. It is an app that can be downloaded to your phone. It allows real time video and has a chat feature so that you are able to interact with your audience. Find me @mudfirepottery.
Being shy and having resisted far too long. I've decided to toss my hat into the YouTube arena. Yes, I've have started a YouTube Channel. I am uploading my Periscope videos as well as videos of me throwing and working in the studio. You can subscribe to my channel here. You can truly get an inside look into my studio.
I am now a vendor at The Makery. an eclectic artist's haven and gallery in Bulverde, Texas. Here you will find the owner Francesca making her handmade jewelry, her husband's paintings as well as a variety of skilled artisans.
Lastly, for my local Farmers Market customers, I've decided to incorporate selling herb plants. I really want my pottery to compliment the farm to table lifestyle... and is there anything better than cooking with fresh herbs? There will be herbs pre-planted in my handmade pots as well as just the plants themselves. Look for us the beginning of April.
Needless to say, I have been working feverishly to make more stock for the gallery, my Etsy store as well as the farmers market. Some new items I've been working on is dragonfly garden art and bird feeders. These will be ready for this spring. I am also working on place settings and hope to debut them this summer.
The photo below shows my new handmade spoons. I am very happy with the way they turned out. I will be including these with my salt cellars/salt pigs this spring.
Peace and light!
